Good news, everyone!
On behalf of the whole Onlinico team, I am happy to announce that we’ve just opened the Works section on our company website. From now on, we will post there our featured projects, both internal and commercial (Assuming our customers will give permission to provide a reference, of course).
Let me introduce and briefly describe the first project on the Projects page – the Beacome project. Beacome is an application that provides the ability to share information using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. The app receives information from beacons – tiny BLE transmitters that broadcast their identifier to nearby portable electronic devices. The iBeacon technology enables smartphones, tablets, and other smart devices to perform actions when in close proximity to a beacon. Beacons come from different vendors in a wide variety of form factors and colors.
The mobile application is only a part of the system, which was created to resolve the issue of automatic exchanging with contact information during conferences and other kinds of events.
The solution consists of several components. The first part is a combination web service and website for creating, managing and sharing of contact data. The second part is for mobile applications for three platforms: iOS, Android, and Windows 10 Mobile. These apps have the same functionality as the website. The third part of the solution are the beacons that transmit data via Bluetooth 4.0. If the need arises, beacons may be replaced by any smartphone that works on any of these three platforms and supports Bluetooth 4.0 technology.
The solution allows one to create an electronic business card, and attach it to the beacon, thus the data of this card is being broadcasted within a certain radius around the beacon. Any person, who has the Beacome application installed on their smartphone and gets into the coverage area of the beacon can receive this card and view it later in the app or import contact information to the phone book of the device. In addition, all applications including the website have a set of filters to facilitate the work with the data obtained or created by each user.

Thank you for your time and attention! More news and interesting projects are about to come soon.
